Andy Flannagan

Andy Flannagan works for Youth for Christ and is a worship leader and singer/song writer. He has just recorded his -th album called 'Son'. We find out a little about him and what makes him tick. 

Q What was the most disrespectful thing you did as a teenager?
A  Probably pushing my friend Ryan's head against the changing room wall. I don't know what came over me!!!

Q You appear quite a laid-back sort of person, but what really winds you up in others? 
A  People using moodswings to exercise power in a situation, even if it's subconscious. I've been in so many situations where a group decision is being made, and the decision shifts towards the person who will be most annoyed if things don't go their way.  

Q Which musician do you most respect and why? 
A Martyn Joseph - for wearing his very honest heart on his sleeve, and campaigning and singing about the issues that matter.

Q What's your favourite song that addresses issues of respect?
A Sarah Mclachlan – ‘’Mary’. 

Q How do we instil self-respect and respect of others into young people who have not had this value modelled to them? 
A Model it to them.
